Is AION 2 Global free to play?

Yes. NC’s Global business-model update says the base game is free-to-play with no purchase required. The same plan lists Membership at $15/month; all Founder’s Packs currently include the first 30 days.

Why the Membership matters more than a cosmetic subscription

NC’s business-model plan requires active Membership to trade on the player Market and the Kina↔Quna Exchange. The August Founder update also lists storage, personal trading and other benefits. That makes Membership economically relevant. It still does not justify a simplistic pre-launch “pay-to-win / not pay-to-win” verdict without the live Global economy.

Can you test Membership in the Launch Scale Test?

Disabled during LSTNo. The test notice disables memberships, Marketplace, Quna Exchange and player-to-player trading. The test therefore cannot be used to judge the live Membership economy.

What still needs live verification

Value, regional billing and live limitsThe July Global business-model plan names $15/month, but storefront currency/tax and the practical value of each perk should still be rechecked in the live Global client. Exchange rates and player-economy behavior cannot be known from a pre-launch notice.
